The Vanderburgh County Coroner's office has identified the deaths of three people involved in a shooting. The coroner said Daniel Sears died near the 4H Center, Popp died near Highway 41, and Maygen Sears died in the 300 block of North Linwood.

A 56-year-old man was shot to death Friday night in northwest Indiana. Officers responded to a call of a person down about 7:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Van Buren Street and found Joseph Hegwood outside with apparent gunshot wounds, according to Gary police and the Lake County coroner’s office.

A family’s life is turned upside down after a fire rips through their home late Saturday night. Around 8 p.m., Westfield Fire Department responded to reports of a two-story house fire in the 15700 block of Sundew Circle. That’s near the intersection of West 156th Street and Spring Mill Road.

Two people are in custody in connection with a 2012 shooting of a Village Pantry clerk. On March 26, 2012, police were called to the Village Pantry at 1515 West Lincoln Road. Officers found a 50-year-old store clerk suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and survived.
A man who was injured in a January robbery and shooting has passed away. The incident was reported on Jan. 9 just after 3 p.m. Police were called to Community East Hospital on a report of a person who had been shot. The victim was transported to Methodist Hospital for surgery

Police are investigating after two teens were found dead at a Marion residence. The Marion Police Department said officers responded to the 400 block of East Lincoln Street around 2:29 Sunday morning. There, police found Alainee Bryer, 13 of Jonesboro, and Corbin Page, 17 of Gas City dead. They also found a handgun at the scene.
Daniel Nations, a man considered a person of interest in the murders of two Delphi teens, is back in Indiana. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office sent officers to retrieve Nations from Colorado, where he was arrested and accused of threatening hikers on a trail with a hatchet

Around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Avon police responded to reports of a person shot. Once they arrived at the 100 block of Avon Village Drive, they found one man suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the chest.
