A death investigation is underway after a man was found dead in an Indiana school’s parking lot. The Franklin County Sheriff's Department said they were called to Mt. Carmel School on Monday after an abandoned vehicle was spotted.

Lawrence police said on Sunday night they had confirmed a fifth teen victim in connection with a shooting at a party inside a Lions Club clubhouse late Saturday night. Lawrence Police Department was called about 10:34 p.m. to a city fire station at 4751 N. Richardt Ave., which is next to the clubhouse at 4745 N. Richardt. About 30 police officers responded, said police department spokesman Gary Woodruff.

Police say one person has been hurt in a shooting in Elkhart. It happened just before 7 a.m. Monday in an area near Stevens Avenue near East Cleveland Avenue, about a half mile from Pierre Moran Park.

Police say a 17-year-old man was shot and killed at an apartment complex on Indy's west side. Around 11 p.m. Friday night, officers responded to the 7700 block of Wyckford Court on a report of a person shot.

Authorities are investigating a robbery that happened overnight at the Circle S on Redbank Road in Vanderburgh county. The robbery occurred around 2:00 a.m. early Tuesday. A short time later, authorities took three people into custody near the west-side Lowe's store.

An employee says that when she went outside to take out the trash, a man put a gun to her head. She says the man told her that he'd already killed four people, and demanded she take him inside.

A police chase in southern Indiana ended with a crash involving a sheriff's deputy. The crash occured about 1 a.m. Monday at Browns Station Way and Emery Crossing in Clarksville. One of the vehicles involved flipped but officials said no one was seriously injured.
