Lawrence's first homicide of 2018 has been ruled as self-defense, prosecutors said Wednesday, but the man who pulled the trigger now faces a firearms charge. Antonio Burse, 34, is charged with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon. On March 6, he shot a man who brandished a weapon over a tax dispute at Burse's tax preparation shop in the 4200 block of North Franklin Road.
