A man is facing charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in her Bloomington home on Friday. Police were called to the scene in the 400 block of West 3rd St. shortly before 2 a.m. There, the 20-year-old victim told officers she went to bed after drinking and awoke to find 21-year-old Bryce Shook assaulting her.
Brownsburg police will await an autopsy set for late Monday to determine the cause of death of an elderly woman who was found dead inside her home Sunday morning. The daughter of Alice Wright, 74, unlocked the front door of her parent’s house shortly before 9 a.m. to find her mother dead and suffering a wound and her disabled father on the floor near his wheelchair.

Officials are on the scene after a body was found in a fire Saturday morning. It happened around 8:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of East 18th Street when a man’s body was found inside a camper. Victim information has yet to be released.

An accidental shooting of a BB gun sent a child to the hospital in critical condition Thursday afternoon. Around 3 p.m., Allen County Police were sent to a home in the 8300 block of Ricker Road.
On Wednesday afternoon, fire crews removed a submerged vehicle from an icy pond at a south side apartment complex. The vehicle had been in the pond at Sundance Apartments since New Year’s Eve, when a woman crashed into it.
Two teenage parents now face charges in adult court in connection with severe injuries to their then 6-week-old baby. According to investigators, the baby’s injuries are consistent with shaken baby syndrome. Brandon Kimberlin, who turned 17 in December , and Caitlin Mann, who just turned 18 in November, face two counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury and one count of neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury. Kimberlin faces an additional charge of aggravated battery.
Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a death on the city’s near northeast side. IMPD received a call about a death in the 3600 block of Schofield Avenue around 7:30 a.m.
South Bend firefighters are investigating a fire that destroyed a home's garage. It started around 2:50 Wednesday morning at the home on the 19,000 block of Pasadena Avenue. No one was hurt, but firefighters say the garage is a total loss.
One person was shot on the city’s south side early Tuesday morning. The shooting happened in the 2100 block of Winchester Driver just after 5 a.m. The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.

A 56-year-old man was found dead Monday afternoon at his home in northwest Indiana, and his death has been ruled a homicide. A medicolegal death investigation team responded at 2:29 p.m. to the home in the 3600 block of Johnson Street in Gary, where Edward Norwood was pronounced dead at 3:28 p.m., according to the Lake County coroner’s office.

A fter an investigation, authorities arrested two men Friday for allegedly carrying out a bank robbery in Farmersburg. On Tuesday, the First Financial Bank in Farmersburg was reportedly robbed.
One person is dead after a shooting on the city’s northwest side Sunday morning. It happened just after 4:45 a.m. in the 5300 block of Acorn Lane. It is not yet known what led to the shooting.

Two brothers, ages 67 and 69, had been dead inside their Elwood home for three weeks before they were found by police, according to the coroner. Their bodies were found in their home on North Anderson Street on Thursday morning. Police were called to the residence on a welfare check after their mail started piling up.
Indianapolis: Police detectives are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead on the east side Saturday. The scene was in the 1500 block of Goldenrod Dr. just southeast of 16th Street and Franklin Rd. IMPD believes the victim was walking from 16th and Franklin when he later collapsed on a porch.

Police say they administered a dose of Narcan to a 15-year-old girl early Tuesday morning after her boyfriend said the two took heroin. Deputies were called to the home in western Monroe County around 3:30 a.m. after someone called 911, reporting the teen was unresponsive. The caller told them Narcan would probably be needed.
