Gary, Indiana shooting at W 15th Ave and Porter St: 1 killed
Indianapolis: metropolitan police are investigating a fatal shooting on the city’s south side. Officers were called to the 1400 block of Knox Street, near East Troy Avenue and Carson Avenue, just before 1 p.m. on a report of a person shot. Police said a 55-year-old male victim was found in critical condition, and later died after being transported to Eskenazi Hospital.

The Marion County coroner's office identified the victim as 52-year-old James Thornton. His cause of death is listed as multiple blunt force traumatic injuries. Indianapolis Metropolitan police say a man died in what appeared to be an early morning home invasion, Fox59 reported

Fort Wayne: One person has died after reports of a shooting Sunday evening. Fort Wayne police were dispatched to the intersection of Roosevelt and Winter around 6 p.m. in reference to a possible shooting. Witnesses informed the officers that the possible victim was inside a vehicle just north of the intersection.
Indianapolis: Metropolitan police are searching for the driver of a van who led officers on a chase that ended in a violent crash that injured two people. The drama ended about 1:30 a.m. Monday, near the 5700 block of E. Minnesota St. where the stolen van officers were pursuing rolled and crashed as it attempted to round a curve

Indianapolis: police cruiser responding to an emergency call was struck by a mail truck in an northeast side intersection Saturday night. According to FOX59, an IMPD officer was responding to a call for police with emergency lights and siren around 7 p.m. The officer reportedly slowed as he approached the intersection of East 38th Street and North Franklin Road and was hit by a U.S. Postal delivery truck.

7-month-old, 2-year-old dead after suspect who was fleeing from police collided with another vehicle in Evansville, Ind.
South Bend: Police investigating shooting near Calvert and Clyde streets. One man was shot, taken to hospital in stable condition. Police say this was an attempted robbery with two male suspects
Speedway: A man is facing charges after allegedly shooting a woman during an attempted robbery in Speedway earlier this month. Police say the suspect, 25-year-old Luis Ruiz-Diaz, and the 30-year-old victim were meeting up at a Thornton’s gas station to make an OfferUp sale when the incident happened on Nov. 7.

South Bend: Police are now telling NewsCenter 16 they are making significant progress in a shooting that happened on South Bend's west side. The shooting occurred on Fredrickson and Huey streets around 5:30 yesterday morning. We have also learned they are concentrating their focus on the person or people involved in that shooting.
Indianapolis: A 16-year-old is in critical condition following a shooting on the city’s east side. The shooting happened in the area of 42nd Street and Post Road around 1:30 Wednesday morning. The victim was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical, but stable condition. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Eleven people are facing charges after a drug bust in southern Indiana. While serving warrants, Scottsburg police seized more than 300 grams of methamphetamine, multiple controlled substances, two handguns and cash.
Police arrested an 8-year-old girl after she allegedly stole her mother’s vehicle and led officers on a cross-county chase. According to police, the girl was shopping with her mom in Anderson when she drove off in her mom’s Jeep, Fox59 reported.

A driver was seriously injured Monday morning after a crash in Madison County. According to Sheriff Scott Mellinger, the crash happened around 5:55 a.m. at State Road 13 and State Road 37, about six miles south of Elwood.

Bedford: police are investigating after a woman was reportedly attacked on a trail Saturday afternoon. Officers responded the Milwaukee Trail, which is just outside the city limits, around 3:11 p.m.
Firefighters responded to a residence fire in Fountain Square on Sunday afternoon that reportedly left 13 people displaced. IFD confirms the start of the fire was caused by a 6-year-old who admitted to playing with a lighter. They were dispatched to the 1300 block of Lexington Ave. in Fountain Square just before 3:30 p.m.
