Surveillance video led to the arrests of two people accused of stealing mail and packages in multiple central Indiana counties. On Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, the Plainfield Police Department received reports of several packages stolen from porches by a man and woman in a white Ford Explorer. On Dec. 4, the department released surveillance video of the thefts, which happened over the span of several days.

Indianapolis: Officers were dispatched to 7050 Kingswood Court on a report of a person shot. When officers arrived they located an adult male who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound. Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene
Indianapolis: A man was shot to death at a northeast-side apartment building Monday night, police said. Officers found the man about 10:20 p.m. in the 7000 block of Kingswood Court, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Officer Aaron Hamer said.
Indianapolis: Police has officially reached last year's homicide record after a person was found shot and killed near Fort Harrison State Park late Monday night. That victim was found by police with a gunshot wound and was still alive when police got there, but died from their injuries a short time later.

Indianapolis: IMPD is investigating after they believe a 19-year-old man was shot in an apparent drive-by shooting on Sunday afternoon. At around 2:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Goodlet Ave. on the near northwest side on the report of shots fired.

Gary, Indiana shooting at W 15th Ave and Porter St: 1 killed
Indianapolis: metropolitan police are investigating a fatal shooting on the city’s south side. Officers were called to the 1400 block of Knox Street, near East Troy Avenue and Carson Avenue, just before 1 p.m. on a report of a person shot. Police said a 55-year-old male victim was found in critical condition, and later died after being transported to Eskenazi Hospital.

The Marion County coroner's office identified the victim as 52-year-old James Thornton. His cause of death is listed as multiple blunt force traumatic injuries. Indianapolis Metropolitan police say a man died in what appeared to be an early morning home invasion, Fox59 reported

Indianapolis: police cruiser responding to an emergency call was struck by a mail truck in an northeast side intersection Saturday night. According to FOX59, an IMPD officer was responding to a call for police with emergency lights and siren around 7 p.m. The officer reportedly slowed as he approached the intersection of East 38th Street and North Franklin Road and was hit by a U.S. Postal delivery truck.
